A deadly inward battle is raging on in ‘Cannon Hawke Vol 1’
I was pretty impressed with the last Fathom graphic novel I read. It took me to a new world and revealed a fascinating race of beings. This world was hidden for a long time, but a conflict forced it to come to the surface. Now that tale continues from a different perspective in Cannon Hawke Vol 1. I was able to read a digital copy of this graphic novel and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Cannon Hawke Vol 1 here:
A fugitive on the run from the Council, Cannon travels to Japan with Akiko in an attempt to secure the one person who may have divulged information that led to the destruction of the Blue city of Saba… the “Shark”, Shalla Barnic.
But, Shalla holds even more secrets, deadly secrets, and Cannon’s internal struggle with Taras continues… A struggle that Cannon may not be able to win.
How can Cannon hope to defeat a new enemy when he cannot even defeat one within himself?
This was a pretty fun read. There was action, drama, mystery, adventure and so much more. Cannon was a man from a different world trying to live on the surface. Yet he discovers he can’t turn his back on his home when an old foe is trying to come back. He faces an inward struggle, one that almost kills him. As this tale came to a close it looked like things were going to be okay, at least for now. If you are a fan of the Fathom graphic novels then you will want to check this one out.
Fathom: Cannon Hawke Vol 1 is available now. You can order this graphic novel on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
